Dental healthcare in Lautoka has stepped up another level following the opening of the Bula Smile Dental Practice opposite Namoli Village in the heart of the city.
For Dr Adnieal Chand, it was an unforgettable moment to have his clinic opened by the Taukei Vidilo, Ratu Viliame Bouwalu and with the presence of his elderly parents.
With an investment of over $130,000 and the backing of the Fiji Development Bank, this modern dental healthcare clinic promises to provide the best service to its patients.
Ratu Viliame said he was overwhelmed that Dr Adnieal chose to open his clinic close to his home of Namioli village.
“This clinic is a remarkable idea,” Ratu Viliame said.
Dr Adnieal graduated from the Fiji School of Medicine and spent 12 years with the Ministry of Health providing dental care to patients in Yasawa, Keyasi, Sigatoka, Ba and then to the Lautoka Hospital.
He joined the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces in 2021 and completed a tour of duty in Sinai the same year. Upon his return he was back at the Lautoka Hospital in 2022.
“We started setting up this clinic in January. This was my long term dream, to have my own clinic,” Dr Adnieal said.
All the clinic’s equipment is brand new and sourced mainly from Australia.
Services offered include consultation, diagnosis x-rays, fillings, cleaning and polishing, teeth whitening, extractions, root canal treatment, surgical wisdom removals, dentures and other dental works.
