Mixologist, Ditui Raika, makes a great brand ambassador for The Distillery Co Ltd.

The sales and promoter for the Pacific Harbour-based liquor manufacturer, says the guiding principle in all production processes was to utilise Fijian -grown produce.

“We do not use essences, or add flavours created in a laboratory somewhere,” she said.

“We distil our own neutral spirit from Fijian sugar cane products.”

The 30-year-old said the company crafts distillers to showcase Fiji’s natural beauty, botanicals, and water.

“We know exactly what is going into our products, which allows us to produce gluten-free fine liquor that we can be proud of.

“The process is laborious and takes time but gives them control over their total output—very much grass to glass.”
