Application for Women in Business Awards closes today at midnight.
WIB executive board Alison Southey is encouraging women to send in their applications before it closes.
“We’re all for women empowerment,” Ms Southey said.
“This is the final call.”
Ms Southey said they would be expecting more applications at the last hour today.
The awards will be divided into six categories.
The WIB awards honor Fiji’s outstanding women and recognise its members who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their business or profession and in their service to the community.
The WIB board is looking for women whose achievements and work within the financial services sector in Fiji has helped enhance the industry or encouraged other women to pursue a career in financial services.
Nominations can be made directly by an individual or company and it is open to women in financial services, banking, investment, credit institutions, brokers, accounting, financial planning, financial advisors, mortgage, consultancy and advisory roles, business partner, colleague, industry participant, business, subcontractor, university, association or any connected eligible financial entity for a women in finance award.
The six categories are:
- Business Woman of the Year
- Executive woman of the year
- Manager of the Year
- Aspiring Entrepreneur of the Year
- Woman of the Year- ICT
- Woman of the Year- Financial Services Each category has to be fulfilled in addition to satisfactory terms and conditions in the information pack on the application form.
The WIB “Emeralds and Diamonds” awards night will take place on Friday October 21st in Suva.
