There has been a lot of changes noticed at the Westpac Microfinance Expo market day.
It was held at the Fiji National Provident Fund Downtown Boulevard Plaza on Ellery street where 46 sellers participated free of charge.
Westpac manager Sustainability, Eseta Nadakuitavuki said: “Looking at people coming for the market day, it just shows it’s growing especially with the number of new market vendors.
“Approximately 20 new vendors were selling their products, altogether we have 46 sellers despite the weather which is a bit gloomy and rainy.
“A lot of buyers coming in to get bargains of whatever is available here. Westpac market is unique in the sense that we ensure that all the vendors sell different products.
“It ranges from handicrafts, pot plants, food stalls, pre-loved clothes and shoes, herbal medicines and many other items.
“I have noticed a big difference in the way sellers display their products especially food, it’s nicely packed from home as we don’t allow them to pack or cook here.Even those selling clothes ensure they have hangers and racks to display clothes.”
The Westpac night market is scheduled for June 12 at Central car park.
