Just when you thought you knew all you could expect from the Damodar City Centre, yet more features are being introduced.
Movie Money Card (MMC) is deemed to make it easier for customers who wish to either buy a ticket online or at the counter at the much- anticipated Damodar Events Cinemas on Grantham Road.
The card, available in $20, $50, $100 and $200 denomination will enable customers to purchase a ticket and even buy their refreshments.
Damodar Group of Companies chief executive, Div Damodar said: “We’re really focusing now on new media platforms, majority of businesses are new media.
Movie Money Card is set to be available at Damodar Event Cinemas at Damodar City Centre on December 9 as well as the activation of the new website www.damodareventcinemas.com.fj.
Mr Damodar explains: “Movie-Money-Card is a facility card that you can buy at the cinemas and you can buy tickets online with it on our new website.”
Their Facebook site for movie inquiries and other information on Damodar Events Cinemas has already being activated.

5D Virtual Reality
“The other aspect of Damodar City Centre which we kept quiet is 5D is an amusement ride. You have to experience it to see what I mean,” he said.
Ticket per adult is $4 and $5 per child where the customer will go on a five to seven-minute session.
“The ride gives customers the experience of full excitement, thrill and exhilaration.”
He said: “As far as technology goes, we’re looking to invest in technology much more so it’s something new.”

Outlet updates
Mr Damodar said New World’s first Independent Grocers Association (IGA) USA affiliated store in Fiji is expected to open today.
The latest tenant is clothing boutique Tree House has just signed a tenancy agreement with the centre he said.
About six shops are still available. However Mr Damodar said they are narrowing their choice down to Fijian investors.
“We really want to focus on local investments. We’d like to encourage anyone who’s thinking of going into business to come and see us.
“Cornelia and her team can sit down with them and help with a business plan.”
Centre manager Cornelia Smith has assured the general public and car owners security is their top priority once customer enters the premises.
The food court on the top floor was opened earlier this week  with more tenants to fill in their spots.

Grand opening
Following the successful soft opening last week, the centre will host a grand opening on December 11.
The Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will be chief guest, while Neil Foon will officiate the opening which is expected to have as much as 500 guests.
The centre will be closed at 2pm that day to gear up for preparations.
