Telecom Fiji Limited has opened what can be called an all-in-one concept for its newly opened TFL Damodar Shop at Damodar City on Grantham Road.
The outlet features a retail shop, customer care services booth and internet café and was launched on Tuesday night.
Telecom National Customer Service and Retail manager Mohammed Gani did not wish to reveal exact figures regarding investment. However, he said it was substantial.
“Five staff will mind this shop while more staff will be service a couple of other shops opening in a few weeks time nationwide,” Mr Gani said.
As part of its opening deal, the shop will have free internet for users for the remainder of the week.
Mr Gani said it would be important to note that high traffic areas like the Damodar city site could be good for business.

Expansion plans
“This retail shop has been setup in such a way that university students, retail customers and business customers can take advantage of all the services,” Mr Gani said.
“For this café we will have 20 computers where the internet charges are cheaper than what others offer and it will be open from 9am to 9 pm.
“For Telecom we have expansion plans such as increasing our presence in a number of locations, expanding our product line also focusing a lot on the layout and location strategy.
“We would like to encourage customers to make a trip to the new shop.”
Telecom plans to open shops at MHCC, Namaka, Tebara Plaza in Nakasi as well as relocation of their Labasa office.
