PA Lal Coachworks’ reach into the Pacific island countries is strengthening.
The local bus builder yesterday handed over yet another bus, this time to a company in Kiribati.
PA Lal Group general manager, Lawrence Robert, said the 43-seater mini bus was built for Utirerei Enterprises Kiribati.
“The recommendation to use our services for quality product and longevity came from ANZ Bank in Kiribati,” he said.
PA Lal Coachworks has exported six buses so far and Mr Robert said they have a few more orders on hand.
“We have four more orders on hand from Nauru and we are still exploring the Papua New Guinea market,” he said.
“The local demand itself is six to eight buses per month.”
Mr Robert said they will remain focused on meeting the local market demand and is urging for the use of local made.
“We support Government’s Fijian Made-Buy Fijian’ initiative because we believe by supporting this campaign, we are supporting Fijians,” he said.
