Tourism Australia has announced a new three-year partnership with Air New Zealand to promote Australia in key overseas markets.
Announced this week, the agreement will see Tourism Australia and Air New Zealand invest AU$3 million each in joint marketing activity including; advertising, PR, events and trade engagement in New Zealand, North American and China.
Tourism Australia managing director Andrew McEvoy said the arrangement aligned with the tourism bureau’s approach to large inbound visitor markets and will provide a strong platform for further growth in inbound tourism.
“Together, New Zealand, America and China account for more than a third of Australia’s annual international arrivals and, importantly, all three markets are growing,” Mr McEvoy explained.
The Air New Zealand deal is the latest joint agreement for Tourism Australia, since Qantas pulled its joint marketing agreement with bureau late last year.
Among the new agreements include; Virgin Australia doubling its support as well as new contribution from Etihad Airways.
