Meet Mereia Kalivakatoga Tavuki is a full-time worker at Chatime.
She does a little bit of everything and making beverages to managing the overall service at the company’s locations in MHCC, TappooCity Suva, and Damodar City Centre.
She is 22-years-old and has been employed at Chatime for three years.
Before that, Ms Tavuki was a sales representative during the Christmas Sale season at Jacks from 2019 to 2020.
It was at this job that she was recruited to join Chatime.
Originally from Vunuku Village in Rewa, Ms Tavuki is motivated to work hard so she could support not only herself but her stay-at-home mother.
It is a big responsibility, and Ms Tavuki admits it was difficult to manage at first but says that being organised and maintaining a schedule has helped her stay on top of her priorities.
This includes completing the Trade Diploma in Customs course at Fiji National University by December this year.
She hopes to join the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) in Nadi in the future.
SunBiz sat down with Ms Tavuki to find out about the local food scene, travel in Fiji, and what she loves about working at Chatime.
