Meet Noa Nodrakoro.

An adventurer at heart, Noa as is he is fondly known has a fierce personality with a passion for learning new things.

The Business Development Executive at Holiday Inn Suva, a hotel brand of Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), is an experienced marketing professional in the corporate and hospitality industries.

Originally from Sawani in Naitasiri, Mr Nodrakoro admits that he is a sweet and fun loving human being.

What do you love most about your job that you can’t find anywhere else?

It’s indeed a blessing to pursue a career in Holiday Inn Suva with a team and a brand (IHG), that empowers me to take charge and have pride in my role.

The flexibility in diversifying my role, and being involved in driving the IHG brand ambition and personally for me; what I love the most about my job is my commitment to championing diversity, equity and inclusion at the hotel level.

Favourite place in Fiji to escape to from your busy work life?

I’m a Gemini, so we are known as social butterflies that like to travel and escape from anything really. It’s definitely anywhere that has sun, sand and sea, so ideally going on a day cruise in the Mamanucas with South Sea Cruises or just a quiet and quick escape to the fabulous Uprising Beach Resort in Pacific Harbour.

What is your go-to place to eat and relax?

I’m not much of a fine diner and not the sophisticated or expert orderer. I love comfort food, with a blend of locally inspired dishes. So, I would say, The Fiji Food Truck, Paradiso and The Bar Belle.

I would also add that Holiday Inn Suva also has a good vibe and good selection of bar bites. Home is where I can mostly relax, it’s a comfort and a safe space for me really.

What’s the best part about being involved in the Fiji hotel/tourism sector?

Learning about the commercial aspects of the industry, recognising travel pat- terns and working with relevant stake- holders in promoting Fiji as a global tourism destination.

I love networking, learning and understanding the different market segments. I particularly love how tourism plays an integral role in diversity, our economy, and environmental sustainability and helps recognise and promotes local businesses, which in turn gives back to our communities.c
