Woman Opens $50,000 Beauty Parlor

Ajneeta Herbert plans to offer services different from what local spa and salon are known for.

Hairdressing and physical training are part of the programme by Ms Herbert.

With a $50,000 investment, she opened Total Transformation PTE Limited in Martintar, Nadi, last week.

“I went to New Zealand to pursue more programmes such as body piercing, body arts, skin arts, and as a physical personal trainer,” she said.

“I closed my previous business, My Hair Affair, to live chase this dream.”

She employs three peoplem, and plans to have more staff once the business picks up.

“It is more at an advanced level now,” she said.

“This is an example of a classy, cozy, environment fit for the ladies to feel at home.”

Ms Herbert is on the hunt for graduates from local universities to work at the company.

“There is a greater need to train and pursue to another level,” she said.

“I will employ more Fijians as local masseurs and nail technicians.

“It will empower people.”

Ms Herbert studied at the Manukau Institute of Technology in New Zealand, where she graduated with a Certificate in Emerging Stylist, in 2017.

The Martintar strip continues to grow with support and services from entrepreneurs, said Nadi special administrator chairperson, Lawrence Kumar.
