Investing into her small business has impacted her life immensely.

With blood links to Lovoni, Ono i Lau and Wainunu, Bua, Helen Raravula was determined that her small business will strive in the next few years.

Ms Raravula had spent most of her childhood growing up in New Zealand, and later decided to move to Fiji with her family.

In 2018 she started her own home based business, “Helen’s Sweet Treats” in Tuirara, Makoi, to support her family.

This was a huge milestone for her and family as she never regretted giving the chance to earn and live better.

“Baking was a hobby as I used to help my Aunts, but it later became not only a passion but a business for me,” Ms Raravula said.

“If you are facing hardships in life, use that as your strength to empower you.

Helen’s Sweet Treats has set a benchmark for all entrepreneurs to keep going despite the odds.

My Aunties or Nana’s Place are my favourite places for coffee or a quick dessert, as nothing compares their baking.

My grandparent’s Estate where I spent a lot of my younger years. So many great memories with the family also in Koroqaqa, Baulevu, Nausori.

The Yasawas would be a good place to visit, because of its long white sandy beaches.
