The Bank of Baroda introduced the newly-installed Queue Management System (QMS) in their Labasa branch this week.

The system enables the staff members to customise the ticketing kiosk to print specific tickets for customers upon selected particular service.

The system has all features and functionalities for the customers to be served timely.

Bank of Baroda Fiji operations chief executive, Govindsing Babusing Rajput, during a cocktail in November the past year had promised customers the bank will install QMS.

Mr Rajput said his customers were very happy that instead of standing in queues, now they can be seated properly while waiting for their turns to be served at the respective counters.

60 seating capacity has been provided.

Labasa branch manager Uday Singh thanked Mr Rajput for investing in this new system that provides efficient services to customers.

“The QMS has all the tools to ensure that all customers are served properly and we can focus on providing efficient customer service,” Mr Singh said.

“The system will assist us to streamline customer flow starting from the point of entry to the point of leaving.

“It enables our staff members not only to call next customer but also put customers on hold, recall customers, transfer customers to another service counter within the premises.

“It also keeps our staff members updated with the number of customers queuing per service.”

Future Plan

Bank of Baroda also has a plan for the Labasa branch to give it a new look.

Mr Singh said in two to three months time, a transformation would take place.

“The reason we have planned to change the look of the bank both inside and outside is to bring about more efficient services,” Mr Singh said.

“We are a bank that believes in innovation in technology and services.

“Now that the QMS is in progress, we do not wish to come to a standstill but move forward and make our staff members and customers more comfortable.”

The bank has 13 staff members including Mr Singh.

He said once the bank’s new look would be in place, they would soon start operating the bank from 9am.

Currently the opening hours are Monday to Thursday 9:30am to 3pm and Friday 9:30am to 4pm. The branch is closed in the weekends.
