The weeklong Road Show Carnival in Lautoka is used for this awareness drive.
Ba Provincial Holdings Company Limited Chief Executive Officer, Isimeli Bose , said the company was now a public company with 596 shareholders.
“This is through the rearrangement by the government, where the people are the shareholders,” he said.
“The weeklong activities is about providing information to the people of the Ba Province and being as inclusive as possible.”
Mr Bose said along with new potential, they request each of the shareholders to contribute in addition to the shares they have in the company.
“It is about changing the mindset and making the culture of investments amongst the people,” he said
“This is a first of a kind and the carnival is part of awareness and marketing.”
The company will also be having the annual general meeting on Wednesday at the Girmit Centre with all the shareholders.
Mr Bose said for the first time, the owners will choose their auditors and directors for this year.
“We want the people to recapitalise the company and contribute towards the investment,” he said.
