Currency exchange demands have prompted MH Money Express, a subsidiary of Carpenters (Fiji) Group Limited, to open its ninth outlet at the capital’s prime location in MHCC Suva.
Officiating the opening of the new MoneyGram superagency was the WR Carpenter (SP) Limited, Group chief executive Tan Sri Sir Ninian Mogan Lourdenadin.
“I must congratulate the team for growing the business very successfully because the results are a testimony of your hard work,” Sir Mogan said.
“We would like to thank you all for the support and the momentum and group that you have for the company.”
MH Money Express Limited, general manager Alok Mishra said: “This is in addition to the current branches in Suva to cater for the growing demands for currency exchange and money transfer services.
While he did not wish to disclose investment, only that it was significant, there were further plans to expand throughout the Pacific.
Mr Mishra said: “We plan to make more subagents throughout Fiji so that our outreach to people increases.
“This is because inward remittances is increasing and foreign exchange business is also booming.
“We do have expansion plans to open sub agencies around the Pacific and we are already present in Tonga now we are looking into Papua New Guinea.
