The Housing Authority of Fiji will continue the good work after outgoing chief executive, Alipate Naiorosui says organisation board director, Umarji Musa.
He was speaking as the authority farewelled Mr Naiorosui at its headquarters in Valelevu yesterday.
Mr Naiorosui is turning a new leaf after 22 years of service.
Mr Musa said: “The traits that Mr Naiorosui possessed must be inherited by the staff if we are serious to climb up the corporate level.
“If he can be successful than nothing should stop us working just as hard as he did to reap this reward.
“It doesn’t mean that he is leaving the authority that the work he had started should come to a standstill.
“We must be proud that we had the chance to work with this great man and if anything increased the pace.”
Mr Naiorosui highlighted it was not the end of the road just yet and was grateful to have been a part of the strong and dedicated staff which he called family.
“I’ve spent 11 years in this leadership position particularly for an organisation such as the Housing Authority which is not easy,” Mr Naiorosui said.
“At the end of day I am happy that I was able to steer this organisation to where it is today now that Government has supported the vision for housing.”
