HFC Bank, our only local bank, has announced it is introducing a ‘Super Dream Government Grant Loan’. This follows the announcement of the Government Grant to First Time Home Owners.
HFC Bank has thus created a special home loan package for all those potential customers who intend to apply for this government grant.
Chief executive, Isikeli Tikoduadua, described this product to be very unique with equity of just 10 per cent.
He said: “We continuously review our products and services embracing our vision ‘To be Fiji’s Bank of Choice by Providing Innovative Financial Solution’.”
“We have discounted the establishment fee by 25 per cent to all first home loan borrowers and there is no monthly service fee to this loan package.
“In addition, we have our in-house solution with legal documentation and valuation to provide supplementary service to the potential customers.
“HFC also provides general insurance and mortgage protection covers on home loans which can be built into the repayment. It is important for the potential customers to lodge their application as quick as possible as it is on a ‘first come first serve basis’.”
Mr Tikoduadua said for all new home constructions, they will give away a free water tank as part of their corporate responsibility for sustainable water management.
Government has set out a guideline for the $10 million Grant to increase home ownership whereby $10,000 will be given to those who intend to build their first home and $5000 for those who intend to purchase an existing house.
Other guidelines of the Grant is it will be available to individuals or couples with joint annual income not exceeding $50,000 and applicants to be above the age of 18 years.
