This was after the deadline for lodgement on April 30.
Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority, Jitoko Tikolevu revealed that at least a third of this number have fully complied, meaning they filed summaries for the 12 month the past year.
“Employers have been paying PAYE tax, however, we need the EMS to tell us how much has been paid by each employee,” Mr Tikolevu said.
“We have 2 per cent of Employers who have failed to file a single EMS,” Mr Tikolevu said.
Non-compliance
“These 42 organisations and companies need to comply with the law. If employers can submit their employees’ information correctly to banks for the payment of salaries and wages, what is difficult about doing the same with FRCA?”
