Autoworld Trading (Fiji) Limited is expanding its showroom services to the heart of Suva City.
The company recently acquired the former John Beater building along Edinburgh Drive to cater for the growing demand for cars as well as office spaces.
Company general manager, Kunal Lal said: “We actually bought the property because we think it’s a good investment.
“We are still renovating the ground floor of the building at the moment and we are still left with two or three levels to refurbish.
“It’s was a good place for our major showroom especially the amount of exposure we are going to have. It’s along the major highway route where there’s a lot of volume traffic.
“The final figures of the total investment have yet to be released I have to tally up all the expenses. Right now with the renovation work the bills keep on increasing,” he said.
Mr Lal noted more employment would be created.
“This new investment will create employment but with the renovation process going on there’s already 10 people working at the site.
“There are different levels and spaces that will be rented out for office spaces and other rooms.
“The government has created a good business environment for us which we are able to import more cars per month. We sell cars at affordable prices for customers as well.
“At the moment we have no plans to open an outlet in the Western side but we might in the future because we have other properties there,” he added.
Opening
The new showroom is expected to open over the middle of year is can cater up to 30 vehicles inside as well as the car park at the back of the building.
He pointed out that specials would be available once the showroom opens such as discounts, specials, giveaways to customers.
Autoworld has two outlets in Suva.
