TThe Wakaya Perfection Organic Ginger was launched last night into the Fijian market.
Wakaya Perfection was conceived as an idea by the Founder of world-famous FIJI Water and owner of Wakaya Island, home to the world-renowned Wakaya Club and Spa, David Gilmour.

Mr Gilmour said: “The greatest luxury on earth was health. So the Wakaya Perfection Collection of organic products was born for internal and external use.
“The collection includes diverse organic offerings such as Turmeric, a rejuvenating dilo facial cream, a dilo SPF sun cream, ginger shampoo and many other discoveries that come from Wakaya Island.
“Including one important product to be launched globally this week Wakaya Perfection Kosher sea salt from the perfect waters surrounding Wakaya Island.
“I wanted to be part of the next wave of consumer demand for those products that are all about the prevention of illness and disease in the first place,” Mr Gilmour said.
Mr Gilmour highlighted Wakaya Perfection has become an international brand in only 14 months and it has surpassed FIJI Water in its global popularity.
Attorney-General and Minister for Industry and Trade Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said: “A lot of things have been said about Wakaya Perfection. It gives us great pleasure to launch it officially to a well-known retail company the Tappoo group.
“I think this partnership will yield a lot of positive results but David Gilmour is obviously well known for a very detailed analysis and background checks before launching the product.
“We are very confident that David Gilmour’s venture into this area of health products /wellness products reaches the platform for success as Fiji Water has achieved.
“I am sure that Wakaya Perfection will achieve that level of perfection that it espouses and with the Tappoo group in terms of the marketing
“We are very glad from the Government perspective Tappo Group is one of the companies that has partnered with government in promoting Fijian made products.”
Tappoo grdirector Vinod Tappoo stressed it was a great pleasure to partner with David Gilmour.
