Seven MH stores will undergo an upgrading project as the supermarket giant uses its MHCC and Superfresh stores as a benchmark.
Carpenters Fiji director retail and marketing Kunaseelan Sabaratnam said the project will be implemented over two years.
Mr Sabaratnam revealed this during an interview.
“We have settled down after the year has come in. We’ll go by store because we want to bring all our stores to the MHCC and Superfresh standard,” Mr Sabaratnam said.
“We want to give the convenience and ambient shopping to our customers apart from our retail prices which always give the customers rebate.
“Firstly we are looking at seven stores with renovation and cosmetic changes.
Mr Sabaratnam said they had yet to estimate the cost for each store because while others need only minor changes, others may needed a complete overhaul.
While particular stores were yet to be revealed, he said the cost for investing in the stores would be in the range of $2.5 million to $3 million in total. The project, he said, would be started in another two months.
