Angel Gold Mackerel is giving back to its loyal customers with the first promotional draw done yesterday.
Angel Gold Mackerel tinned-tuna is packed and processed by Viti Foods Limited, a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group.
A total of 181 customers were rewarded with the major customer receiving cash prize of $1000.
In total, $2500 cash was drawn and consolation prizes of 150 Angel Mackerel t-shirts and 10 cartons of Angel Mackerel tinned-fish yesterday at the CJ Patel Group head office at Wailekutu.
This is the first of three draws that the company is doing with the second and third on May 31 and June 10 respectively.
CJ Patel group marketing director, Nathan Hildebrand said: “The response has been really good.
“The point we’d like to address most of all is this is an opportunity to reward our existing customers – the people who are loyal to the brand.
“It is also an opportunity to attract new customers into the brand.
“This the first time Angel Mackerel has done anything for a long time for five years.
“We are trying to engage with our consumers in a way with over $7000 cash and other consolation prizes.”
The fish is New Zealand blue mackerel which the company believes is dominant compared to other canned-mackerel sold here in Fiji.
“Unlike other imported canned-fish, Angel Mackerel is processed, packed in Fiji,” Mr Hildebrand said.
“The rest of the markets are what we call inferior markets but this is a New Zealand Blue Mackerel.”
