The Minister for Agriculture, Lieutenant-Colonel Inia Seruiratu, recently presented a farming digger worth $357,000.00 and a tractor with all its implements worth $99,650.00 to assist in reviving the farm at Navuso Agriculture School.
While speaking at the handing over ceremony, Lieutenant-Colonel Seruiratu said that agricultural development is an area that the Government believed would boost the nation’s economic position.
He reminded guests at the event that Government provides assistance in the hope that this will provide some investment returns.
Meanwhile, Reverend Malakai Tuikadavu from the school said Navuso would develop to its full potential in the years to come.
“Currently there are 65 youth enrolled in Navuso pursuing their certificate in Agriculture to be better farmers,” he said.”
