The success of any company lies with the loyalty of staff and thus should never go unnoticed says the owner of an Australian-based skin care product company, Organic Earth Fiji.
The hard work and dedication of staff by the manufacturing arm of Natural Fiji was paid off when they were recognised during a small yet significant awards night at Holiday Inn Suva, Friday night.
Despite the company’s size, director, Geeta Reddy has for the second time made it her prime role to award her staff for the efforts they deserve.
The event is called Organic Earth Fiji and Natural Fiji Director’s Awards 2013 and invited guests and friends of Ms Reddy from corporate organisations turned up for the awards.
She said it was because of her vibrant and innovative team both here and Australia that the company’s brand was recognised in the international arena.
“I would like to thank my wonderful and loyal staff for all their contributions towards my company not only in Fiji but in Brisbane and the Gold Coast,” Ms Reddy said.
“The awards and certificates…is a sign of my appreciation to you all for the hard work and dedication that you have put in to make 2013 a successful one.
“The commitment you have given to me over the five years has been enormous.”
Last year she hosted the awards in Australia and had a one-week retreat with staff here and Australia in Brisbane.
Awards
New graduate and Brisbane-based employee, Mauni Shah, was speechless when she received the Employee of the Year award.
She was described by Ms Reddy as one who could read her mind and put it to paper and action and was always available when needed.
Ms Shah said: “I am grateful to ma’am (Ms Reddy) for recognising my efforts in the company. She has groomed me very nicely and it has helped me in my professional life as well as my personal life.”
Ms Shah won herself $5000, a certificate and a plaque.
Adi Akanisi Adimaiwai earned the Top Executive Sales of the Year award and was described by Ms Reddy as the right person for the award.
She received a $4000 prize, a certificate and a plaque. Ms Reddy employs 15 staff in Fiji the primary product, coconut is produced and sent to Australia.
She has eight employees in Brisbane and in the Gold Coast. The remainder of employees received certificates.
Organic Earth Fiji is the manufacturing arm of Natural Fiji. Natural Fiji is the international marketing division for Organic Earth Fiji.
The company won an award from the Le Monde International World Quality for Excellence last year and in recent years for its all-natural coconut skin-care body products.
It has major markets is US, Australia, New Zealand and currently looking at the Fijian market as well.
