It was a sweet and emotional day for Anareta Vakarawa as the staff and management of Naviti Resort in Korolevu, Sigatoka, bid her farewell on Thursday.
The resident of Votualailai in Sigatoka said she was proud of the Warwick Group for giving her the opportunity in providing her services to the resort.
“I was speechless after seeing the management team with senior vice-president pacific of the Warwick Group of Hotels Tammie Tam and general manager Dave Woodman in the farewell party,” she said.
“Working for Naviti Resort gave me a lot of happiness and joy to come to work every day due to the friendly staff around.”
Ms Vakarawa joined Naviti Resort in 1988 as a receptionist and worked her way through in achieving the front office manager position.
And now at the age of 54, she wishes to enjoy her retirement and spending most of her time with her family.
Naviti Resort general manager Dave Woodman said it was Vakarawa’s sheer determination in striving to be the best which gave her success.
