The outgoing managing director/chief executive officer of Air Pacific Dave Pflieger paid a courtesy farewell visit to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola at his office on Monday.
Mr Pflieger was instrumental in returning Air Pacific to profit and modernising its operations.
During his tenure, Air Pacific had accumulated profit which has been a remarkable achievement for the airline industry.
Mr Pflieger has also played an integral role in finding his successor.
Mr Pflieger has completed his three year contract in Air Pacific and will be departing this weekend. Ratu Inoke commended Mr Pflieger for his notable contribution to the revitalisation and development of the national airline.
Mr Pflieger thanked Ratu Inoke for the kind remarks and expressed his gratitude to the Government and the people of Fiji for the support and unprecedented hospitality granted to him during his three year term here.
Mr Pflieger returns to the United States of America and will be joining Silver Airways as their new president and chief executive officer.
