One Hundred Sands Limited is tightlipped about any progress on developing Fiji’s first casino.
Chairman of One Hundred Sands Limited, Larry Claunch, has not responded to an email requesting an update.
His personal assistant Barbara L’Ami said she has received the email which has been forwarded to Mr Claunch.
She said all further information would be released by Mr Claunch.
The deadline by the Fijian Government for the casino to start operations is October 1. After this, they are subjected to hefty monthly fine to Government.
Nadi-based architect, Adrian Sofield, whose land had been earmarked by One Hundred Sands Limited as the new site for the casino, said he was contractually bound not to comment on the progress of the casino.
Mr Sofield was at the site yesterday with some contractors.
However, he said any information about the casino would need to be released by Mr Claunch.
No further work has been carried out at the casino site- on the 20 acre land.
Meanwhile, work has started on the old casino site, which has been bought by the Damodar Group for the construction of a resort.
Denarau Corporation Limited has confirmed the deal for the land has been finalised with the Damodar Group.
