The world’s second most expensive hotel is located in Fiji, according to a new survey from Luxury-Hotels.com.

Only one resort elsewhere in the world is more expensive, the North Island Lodge. Located in the Seychelles, the North Island Lodge will cost travelers an average of $5843 per night throughout the summer.
Another exclusive luxury resort, Wakaya Club and Spa, in the Lomaiviti group also features, coming in 14th on the list.
Five African lodges, four of them safari camps, make a showing in the Top 10 whereas Europe only appears once.
That honour goes to Cala di Volpe, which is nestled in Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda, making it Europe’s most expensive hotel. An average price tag of $2939 for a double room during the month of August earned Cala di Volpe the distinction of being the ninth most expensive luxury hotel worldwide.
