A team of enthusiastic Westpac volunteers dedicated their Saturday to transform Medical Services Pacific’s (MSP) clinic on Waimanu Road in Suva.
MSP is a Fijian non-government organisation (NGO) working towards providing Pacific women and youth with a comprehensive range of services,
These include, health services, family planning, counselling and STI and HIV/AIDS testing and awareness to communities in Fiji through a community outreach team and drop-in clinic.
Westpac’s assistance came in the form of donation of paint and labour.
Westpac staff had a great day and they thoroughly enjoyed their role as painters and at the same time making a difference to the MSP clinic.
Westpac’s head of Retail, Sales and Service, Nirosh Weerasinghe, said Westpac has three main focus in the community.
These, he said, are financial inclusion, health and wellbeing and gender inclusion.
“We are always keen to assist wherever possible in these areas to make a difference,” he said.
