The Damodar Group of Companies has confirmed its venture into a major tourism development project in Nadi soon.
We believe this development will be on the much-renowned Denarau Island in Nadi.
Damodar Group chief executive, Div Damodar, said whilst they are not able to make further comments on their project at this stage, they would surely reveal further details in the coming weeks.
“The Damodar Group is now a property development company and its new ventures are in the process of being finalised,” he said.
“Being a property development company, we essentially do a lot of research on what opportunities are there.
“If these opportunities fit our business model, than we take them to the next level.”
Mr Damodar stressed they are also very confident about the Fijian economy and the Bainimarama Government’s policies which he described to be“very business friendly”.

Damodar City update
Meanwhile, Mr Damodar also indicated that work on the multi-million-dollar Damodar City Centre complex in Raiwai, Suva, was progressing well.
“Tenancy fitouts are the main activities happening on site at the moment and we expect most fitouts to be completed by mid to late October,” he said.
“We had a tenancy meeting last week where the tenants themselves set a soft opening date and this date is likely to be around the third or fourth week in October.”
Mr Damodar said the exact date will be announced in the next two weeks.
All these have been strong expansion of the group and plans have already been indicated for more Damodar City shopping malls in Fiji.
