The Dell Enterprise Forum 2013 took place at the Holiday Inn Suva last week. .
The seminar was in conjunction with Office Products Graphic Equipment Limited, in order to inform Information Technology companies how to manage their infrastructure with Dell and showcase new products.
Dell’s IT has delivered over $2 billion dollars in tangible results that lead to more innovation, lower costs and better business partners among many others.
Dell director of Global Pricing and Product Management Analytics, Mr Pradeep Menon, spoke of how the company is working hard to produce efficient, affordable, and high speed products.
“We continue to ensure that our customers understand how to use our products with ease, as well as ensure our products can be used in our customer’s future,” Mr Menon said.
Recently, Dell worked on producing new products which are personalised for the individual.
“Our products are made specifically to meet the user’s needs,” he said.
Dell has been working on their new Fresh Air Technology, which provides fresh air cooling, and has shown tremendous results in reducing energy costs by 15 per cent.
Dell is the first company to introduce this fresh air technology to the market and is expecting success with their new product.
Mr Menon said how data storage is turning out to be a rather large problem.
“Data is the more important than anything else. Data has gone from super scarce to super abundant,” he said.
Currently, storage systems are complex and very expensive and inflexible to manage.
Dell, however, has a solution to manage the large amount of data, known as the Dell Fluid Data Solutions.
The Dell Fluid Data Solutions is said to have efficiency and agility through intelligent data management.
The customer is able to choose from four storage solutions: EqualLogic, PowerEdge, Forcelo, and PowerConnect.
When referring to the Dell Fluid Data Solutions, Mr Menon said: “The power to do more with less space, power, and cabling.”
