National carrier Pacific Sun will lease a brand new ATR 72-600 aircraft as it steps up its expansion plans.
Growth in domestic and regional traffic has driven Pacific Sun, a Fiji Airways’ subsidiary, to signed a formal Letter of Intent (LOI) for this 68-seater leased aircraft with Singapore-based aircraft leasing company Avation PLC.
The ATR 72-600 will add to Pacific Sun’s fleet of two ATR 42-500 and three DHC Havilland Twin Otter aircraft and is expected to arrive in April next year.
Pacific Sun intends to use the new aircraft on its domestic and regional (Pacific Islands) routes, which it operates on behalf of Fiji Airways.
