China Railway boosts agriculture show

China Railway First Group Company Limited will help sponsor the 2013 Crest Agriculture Show.
The company donated $10,000 to the Department of Agriculture yesterday, the organisers of the show which is set to take place September 3-7 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
China Railway chief executive officer, Qiao Yong, who spoke on behalf of the company has high hopes of their sponsorship and is looking forward to the Show.
“The Agriculture show has clearly made its mark, held at various locations around Fiji and we believe that the Show will continue to grow from strength to strength each year,” Mr Yong said.
Along with the sponsorship cheque, the company is looking to collaborate to provide the best possible farming techniques available throughout Fiji. The company also plans on providing farm training to local students.
“CRFG looks forward to long-term co-operation with the Ministry of Agriculture in Fiji, to work together in collaboration to introduce modern farming systems using modern technology,” he said.
Accepting the cheque on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture was the Deputy Secretary, Uraia Waibuta.
Mr Waibuta said the ministry is very thankful for the sponsorship with China Railway First Group as it will dramatically improve the current farming state in Fiji.
“We are thankful for their sponsorship and look forward to the support it will render,” Mr Waibuta said.
The Ministry is excited for the company to provide them with new modern farming techniques as well as expert hands-on training.
“We can learn from the modern technologies and techniques the CRFG will provide us with and continue to grow,” he added.
