The appointment of new council members into the Fiji Institute of Accountants council is expected to enhance the rebranding exercise which the institute hopes to achieve in the near future.
Renu Chand, Nouzab Fareed and Jerome Kado have joined the council and bring with them a wealth of experience.
The trio have replaced Lisa Apted, Rajesh Lal and Nitin Ghandhi, who turned in their resignations to the council.
Institute president Cama Raimuria said the new trio will no doubt bring with them available information and knowledge to foster the rebranding of the institute.
“Having new members on the council will complement very well with the Institute’s corporate plan on succession planning as the Institute embark on a rebranding exercise,” Mr Raimuria said.
“They bring to the table combined wealth of experience and knowledge to the council and they are all exceptional leaders and a passionate advocate of the accounting profession,” Mr Raimuria said.
“Their technical skills, financial leadership and business acumen, as well as experience within the business sector, will bring new strengths to our Institute and its operation.”
The Institute of Accountants will benefit substantially from their wisdom and experience, he added.
