A man from Mulomulo, Nadi, has won himself $30,000 by scatching the major prize in Fiji Tattslotto’s “Shining Butterfly” scratch ticket series.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought the tickets from Reddys Wine, which is a Tattslotto agency.
Fiji Tattslotto in a statement said the winner buys the scratch tickets once a week from Reddys Wine and gives it to his wife to scratch.
The winner said: “This win which God has given my family, I will spend the $30,000 on both my children’s education.”
The agent, Diwakar Reddy, said the winner purchased two tickets and took them home for his wife to scratch.
He said the winner wasn’t paying attention when the winner’s wife screamed: “O My God, O My God, I think we have won, I got the $30,000.”
It was reported that the winner, his wife, aunty and two children could not sleep the whole night and just danced around forgetting all about the second ticket.
