Improving the services provided by employees to customers lead to a direct result of increasing sales stated the Lautoka Chamber of Commerce administrator, Salim Mohammed.
The chamber has teamed up with Fiji National University (FNU) for a one-day training in customer service for businesses in Lautoka.
The training will be provided by FNU National Training Productivity Centre in Lautoka this Saturday from 8.30am.
“Improving the attitude of employees towards their jobs and customers is the foremost factor highlighted in the training program,” Mr Mohammed said.
“Another major issue which businesses face is the way of handling customer queries and complaints.”
The training will also look at areas such as improving communication skills, enhancing internal customer service practices and dealing with customers from various ethnic backgrounds.
Mr Mohammed said employees should always think outside the box to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.
“A satisfied customer becomes a loyal customer and a loyal customer will always make the company’s products and services their first choice.
“Employees should always create a positive first and last impression.
“Participants opting for this training will be beneficial for both the employees and business,’’ he added.
Mr Mohammed added that more refresher trainings in the future overlooking every aspect of daily business operations and ways to survive in economic crisis.
Lautoka Chamber of Commerce was established 40 years ago acting as a business hub for its members.
Over the years the chamber has worked as in independent body in assisting its members in various roles.
