A Hawaiian-based green company has introduced a new product into the Fijian market which promises to save fuel costs whilst being eco-friendly.
Global Hybrid Technology (GHT) Pacific Limited officially launched the ‘Fuel Buster’ last week Friday, a technology-driven innovative product.
Close to 30 people from corporate organisations and individuals attended the product launch at the Tanoa Plaza Hotel in Suva.
The multi-dimensional technology has four different types of applications for vehicles and fuel-driven systems. These applications can be installed motor cycles, earth-moving equipment as well as ships.
GHT Pacific is the Hawaii and Pacific distributor of the technology has partnered with Buzz Me (Fiji) to be the local distributor the product range.
Patented technology
GHT Pacific chief operations officer, Shivana Maharaj, said the patented technology has a 40-year life span.
“Basically it’s not an additive, it doesn’t add anything new,” Ms Maharaj said.
“It’s a patent technology, about the size of a pipe so you can hold in your hand and as long as a pencil and made of stainless fuel and inside is specific copper winding.
“The product has proven to be a success in parts of US, Ireland and Africa.”
Ms Maharaj said the Fuel Buster when installed in the fuel line, allows fuel to run through it and filters resulting in better fuel efficiency.
“It helps to break up the fuel because fuel is in long chains and it doesn’t burn very efficiently,” she said.
“It allows greater combustion and that means it’s allowing less fuel to be used but more power to the vehicle from whatever application it is using.”
The eco-systems can be used with gasoline, diesel, bio-diesel, propane and natural gas.
Fiji as hub
Returning-Fijian and GHT Pacific chief executive, Michael Maharaj, stressed of Fiji’s potential as the South Pacific hub.
“Bringing the technology here at an affordable price for companies for individuals means high fuel costs can be countered by using this product,” Mr Maharaj said.
“The reason we’re coming back home and seeing emissions from vehicles etc is we see that it is an issue.”
Fuel efficiency level
While first time users may not be able to feel its efficiency immediately, Mr Maharaj said over a period of time customers have saved up to 10 per cent on fuel.
Ms Maharaj said the launch tied in well with Fiji being her father’s birthplace.
“We’re giving Fiji a chance to take advantage of the product, and we wanted to make this the start of distributing in the South Pacific.
“The Fuel Buster- 2, 4 and 5 systems has quick disconnect hoses and connectors. The pencil to right exemplifies the small size of our Fuel Buster systems.”
