Westpac, together with the Public Service Commission, will once again host a Retirement Planning Exposition today at the Tebara Complex in Nakasi from 9am till 2pm.
This is the third time Westpac has organised events with Public Service Commission, having previously held two successful expositions last year.
Westpac Fiji general manager, Adrian Hughes, said the event is critical as it brings valuable information into one place to help people make proper plans for their retirement.
“Planning for retirement is a critical aspect of life that many people overlook,” Mr Hughes said.
“On average, people spend around 20 years at school and tertiary level, 35 years working and 20 years in retirement.
“It is therefore hugely important that when retirement approaches, people don’t just think about what they’re retiring from, but rather, what they are retiring to.”

What the expo is about?
The exposition will help deliver to the need by putting the spotlight on preparing for retirement and will bring together key organisations that offer products and services that can add real value to people in this stage of life.
“And it’s not just about finances – it’s about healthy living and maximising opportunities to get the most out of life,” he said.
