The Fijian Flying Circus promises to be a spectacle, combining contemporary Fijian dance with the exhilarating art of circus performance.
This is after VOU Dance Fiji PTE Limited officially announced its first-ever Fijian Flying Circus Production yesterday.
The circus is set to open in Nadi Town tomorrow.
VOU Dance Company Artistic Director, Navi Fong said this groundbreaking production would showcase the talents of local performers who had dedicated themselves to training for this momentous event over the past year.
Under the expert guidance of our circus instructors from Havana, Cuba, the performers have honed skills such as acrobatics, juggling, walking on a tightrope, and many more, Mr Fong said.
Mr Fong himself is the talent behind weaving the production elements together, by incorporating death-defying circus skills into a storyline to bring a unique and captivating experience to audiences across Fiji.

“We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our performers as they prepare to embark on this exciting tour,” said VOU Dance Company Director Sachiko Soro.
“This production is a celebration of Fijian creativity through the art of dance and stage performance, and we are thrilled to share it with audiences throughout Fiji.”
“All our performers are graduates of the Conservatorium of Dance, completing a two-year course of Diploma in Dance, and are all full-time employees of VOU.”
The tour will kick off in Nadi, Suva, Rakiraki, Sigatoka, Labasa, Savusavu, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua and Nausori over the next five months.
Ticket prices will be as low as $8 per person and it can be bought via TicketMax Fiji, from Jack’s stores, and at the door before the show.
