A large amount of Damodar Cinemas’ ticket sales are being done using M-PAiSA.
Damodar Group chief executive officer Div Damodar made this known this during the launch of the Wednesday Blockbuster Movies with M-PAiSA for 2024.
The event, launched at the Cinelouge at Damodar City in Suva yesterday, saw Damodar Cinemas and Vodafone Fiji join forces for the promotion.
Shailendra Prasad, head of ecommerce and digital financial services at Vodafone Fiji’s M-PAiSA, said the mobile telecommunications company had partnered with Damodar Cinemas for the last two years.
“The exclusive offer, available to M-PAiSA users, entitles them to buy one and get one free ticket for the same movie,” Mr P rasad said.

“Being able to save when you have a family of five or 10 people can make a lot of difference for your budget, when using the MPAiSA QR.”
The promotion is available to all Damodar Cinemas, including Village 4 in Lautoka and Damodar Cinemas in Labasa every Wednesday.
“We are going with digitisation,” Mr Damodar said.
“That’s our primal focus. We have to move with the times. Digitisation – that’s the whole prime objective.”
Movie patrons can take advantage of the promotion which starts tomorrow and will last until November.
