Mana Coffee has expanded its presence in Suva with the opening of a new events space and cafe in Walu Bay.

“The Space” by Mana Coffee was officially opened earlier this month on the ground floor of the Fiji Gas building.

The launch was the first public event held by new owners of Mana Coffee, Robin Mitchell and Raewyn Ah Koy, who took over in November last year.

“We are extremely grateful to the previous owners of Mana Coffee, Darran and Mue Bentley Fisher, for entrusting us with this established brand,” they said.

“They built a strong foundation and we remain committed to the values and principles of operating a business where community partnerships are valued and where we support other local SME businesses.

Mana Coffee’s Walu Bay branch caters for events.

“Our vision for The Space is to be a place that inspires creativity and collaboration, and we believe that an innovative, creative space can help cultivate creativity and brand-new ideas.

The Space by Mana Coffee has a well-lit spacious interior designed to accommodate a wide range of gatherings and activities.

Whether it’s hosting art exhibitions, live performances, workshops, or community events, Mana Coffee aims to create an inclusive space where creativity can thrive, and great food and beverages are served to our customers.

The launch was co-hosted by local artist Jack Eastgate who launched his West Coast/South Pacific Art Exhibition.

Mama Coffee’s Walu Bay extension is located downstairs at the Fiji Gas building.

After spending nearly two decades studying and working as an artist in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA, Mr Eastgate is back home painting murals and installations across Fiji.

For the first time, Mr Eastgate is exhibiting his stunning collection of canvas and wood paintings exclusively on display and for sale at The Space.

Mana Coffee also collaborated with The South Pacific Coffee Company (SPCC) at the launch, exclusive suppliers of Mana Coffee.

SPCC owner Mike Dennis, with his director son Maikeli were present, showcasing their Nitro Cold brew.

“Nitro can be served hot or cold and is a much quicker way to get your morning coffee fix, but without the wait, as it’s directly served from the tap,” Mr Dennis said.

Lami Kava “Green Kava”, now exclusively available at Mana Coffee’s flagship location on Selbourne Street in Suva, was also featured at the launch.

A kava bar is planned for The Space in the near future.

The public also got a sneak peek and tasting of the new Mana Coffee “Small Plates” menu which included sizzling sliders, Thai-style wonton cups, and uto (breadfruit) chips with kumala (sweet potato) hummus.
