The Association of Banks in Fiji (ABIF) has presented a donation valued at $50,000 to children’s cancer charity WOWS Kids Fiji.
ABIF said it was inspired by the work of WOWS Kids Fiji in providing critical support to child cancer patients and their families.
This contribution was not just a financial backing, ABIF explained, it represented the organisation’s shared belief that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the best possible care and support throughout their cancer journey.
ABIF said the donation would allow WOWS Fiji to “extend its outreach and enhance its support services” to those who needed it most.
“We acknowledge with deep gratitude this generous donation from ABIF and thank you for your unwavering support towards our cause over the years. We appreciate your recognition of the important work that we are doing for our little champs battling cancer,” said WOWS Kids Fiji vice chair, Vilash Chand.
“Your donation will enhance our commitment to continue serving our children in order to improve their quality of life, thus easing the financial, emotional, and psychological burdens on their families.
“You are also enabling us to significantly expand our community outreach in terms of raising childhood cancer awareness. Thank you ABIF for standing with WOWS in our fight against childhood cancer in Fiji.
“Walk on, walk strong!”
