Entrepreneur Shirley Chetty enjoys travel.
The owner of Shirley’s Food Fusion at Lautoka’s Northern Club believes in rewarding herself for her hard work.
She owns and operates three businesses and looks after her aging mother.
“I learn to take breaks from time to time to travel, because I deserve, can afford, and work hard for it,” Ms Chetty said.
She lives by one mantra – when you want something, focus; don’t give up until you’ve succeeded.
As a pastime, she goes fishing.
“It is possible and important to take breaks when you’re super busy,” Ms Chetty said.
Wearing her business hat, she says Lautoka needs more attractions to draw in tourists.
“Lautoka is a shadow against its advanced neighbour, Nadi,” Ms Chetty said.
“There is no nice place in the sugar city; people travel to Nadi for good coffee and the night life.”
Where in Fiji would you take friends to?
Nadi.
There are more options besides resorts and hotels.
What are your favourite spots for coffee or pie?
Portside Coffee, Lautoka.
It is owned by a friend that I catch up with for a good yarn.
The Coffee Hub Nadi is where I usually meet friends.
