Finance minister Biman Prasad defended the Government’s decision to host a two day national economic summit, saying: “We have been criticised over the cost of the Summit and some of our spending choices.
“That is all right. That is what democracy is about. Those who bear responsibility for these decisions – like me – must embrace the flying bricks as well as the bouquets.”
Mr Prasad is expected to provide an update of the summit breakdown of costs related to the consultative process.
