Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort’s newly opened Sega Na Leqa restaurant will delight taste buds.

Fried chicken and beer are the menu’s mainstay.

The idea of the restaurant was conceived prior to COVID-19 in 2020.

Close to $150,000 was invested in restructuring the former restaurant, which is now Sega Na Leqa.

It features new equipment and fittings.

The eatery is led by cluster executive chef, Jose Dominguez.

“The only thing that we serve here is fried chicken and tap beer,” he said.

“We will have more than 100 sauces that you can choose from for your chicken.

“The spices are one of the best secret ingredients.

“It’s not only for locals, but for tourists.

“The prices are very affordable.”

The eatery has a selection of six imported beers on tap such as Steinlager, HAHN, One Fifty Lashes, Asahi, Pure Blonde, and Carlton Dry.

Mr Dominguez is from Venezuela, South America, and has worked for Marriott International for the last 27 year.

He worked in the Caribbeans where he usually blends flavours.

“It is possible to come up with the secret recipe which includes locally sourced ingredients,” Mr Dominguez.

The eatery employs seven full time staff, and has plans to hire more in future.
