Jaipur Premium is now in Labasa.
The outlet was opened by the Minister for Economy and Attorney-General, Aiyaz Sayed- Khaiyum yesterday at the Gurbachan Singh mall.
This is a relief for customers as they no longer need to travel to Suva to buy their Indian clothes.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said generally the Government had been putting a lot of effort in terms of growing infrastructure in Vanua Levu.
“We believe there is a lot of potential in Vanua Levu and when we have shops such as Jaipur Premium rapidly expanding they realise that full potential,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
“You will find that the people of Labasa are very good customers.”
He said the Government was supportive of such initiatives.
“We now have a tarseal road from Nabouwalu to Labasa which makes things easier, more frequent shipping facilities from Viti Levu to Vanua Levu,” he said.
“The connectivity is getting quite significant and exponentially growing.”
He said more businesses and projects are expected to come to Vanua Levu.
“It is only through a stable Government, stability in policies that has encouraged business men such as this to come to Fiji and invest,” he added.
“It gives a different level of confidence and it is in the hands of the Fijian public to ensure that that level of confidence and stability continues.
It is critically important for people to understand and to think about that in particular in the upcoming election.”

The business is a successful partnership between its directors, Manish Jain and Shyam Ghanshani.
The Labasa outlet is their fourth shop opened within five years along with branches in Nadi, Lautoka and Suva.
Mr Jain said because of the increasing demand from Labasa they decided to open the shop.
“We spent close to $100,000 to invest into this business including the stock ordered from India,” Mr Jain said.
“We hope to provide the best service in Vanua Levu.”
The new outlet provided four new jobs and would open seven days.
Mr Ghanshani and Mr Jain have been business partners working in different countries for 25 years.
“We chose to invest in Fiji because it is a crime free and friendly country,” Mr Ghanshani said.
“Moreover, there are many Indians who would love to access our service.”
Special administrator of Labasa and Savusavu Town Council Ami Kohli thanked the partners for investing in Labasa.
He said with another shop opening in Labasa it shows that investors were confident that there was more room for business growth in the North.
