Fiji is the best place to live and work, says Green Gold Kava Pte Limited managing director, Praveen Narayan.
The kava exporter of Savusavu has travelled to New Zealand, Australia, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna, Hong Kong and Netherlands.
He graduated with a Certificate in Auto Electronic at Fiji National University, in 1997.
Mr Narayan is from Suva.
He chose to establish his business in 2014 at Laqere, Savusavu.
“The coronavirus pandemic has taught me that Fiji is one country in the world that is safe to live and work in,” Mr Narayan said.
“For the last five years, I have been working with around 300 yaqona farmers in Vanua Levu.”
The company won Prime Minister’s Exporter of the Year Award in 2016 and 2018.
The 46-year-old father of two exports kava to Pacific Island countries, New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
He is a member of Fiji Kava Task Force and PHAMA PLUS, an Australia and New Zealand aided programme.
Mr Narayan hails from a kava business oriented family.
Mr Kumar provides sponsorship to Kombat Sportswear Grassroot programme,as part of his community contribution.
The former student of Dudley High School plans to expand his business operations to pharmaceuticals.
