Namrata Charan Singh is definitely a high achiever.
Her father is businessman and politician Charan Jeath Singh owner of Charan Jeath Singh Group where she is the executive director.
In today’s feature, we get up close and personal with the recently engaged Ms Singh who considers herself spiritual and believes in karma.
Things people may not know about you.
– I don’t like coffee (hard for people to believe considering I am a Kiwi as well).
– I am a graceful dancer and have taken part in many stage performances (still do).
– I am a good cook (especially with Indian and Chinese dishes).
How Many Places Have You Visited Around Fiji?
I have been to Savusavu and Taveuni in the North.
I have also been around Viti Levu and to all the towns and cities.
I have visited some islands in the Mamanuca Group including Beachcomber, Castaway and Malamala.
What is the one place in Fiji you would take visitors to, and why?
I would take them to Labasa.
One of the reasons would be to visit the Naag Mandir (Temple).
The solace and energy transformation it offers brings positive vibes within you.
Secondly, the three sisters mountain is another place to see.
It is the highest peak of the Macuata province and has its own historic legend.
Moreover, I would encourage visitors to visit our new Gurbachan Singh Mall in Labasa which is one of its kind for Fiji.
It is the new meeting spot for locals and a place for visitors to checkout.
It has a food court, shops, gaming centre, bar, cinema and most importantly it has lots of historic photos of Labasa all around the mall.
Finally, although Fijians in general are said to be very hospitable, Labasa has the friendliest people.
That is why we are known as the friendly north.
In fact, one cool fact is that one of our hotel’s in Labasa is called the Friendly North Inn as well!
Our other hotel in Labasa which is the Grand Eastern Hotel featuring an outdoor swimming pool and a pool side bar is another beauty worth visiting, staying at or even dining at.
What Is Your Favourite Place For Pizza, And Why?
I would say that the best place for pizza would be at our very own Lautoka Hotel in Lautoka.
Those who have tried the pizza there will know what I am talking about.
Those who have not tried yet, should give it a go as they will not regret.
