The Ministry of Housing and Community Development (Ministry) invites Expressions of Interest from interested individuals (including current tertiary students) to assist the Ministry in the collection of household data from informal settlements in Fiji.
Background
The Ministry is currently updating its Household Database for informal settlements in Fiji.
The purpose of this exercise is to collect data on the number and nature of house structures, population and economic status of families living in these informal settlements.
Scope
The first phase of development in these informal settlements is to update the database for Twenty Four (24) informal settlements that are within Development Leases under the Ministry in the Central, Western and Northern Divisions.
Successful applicants will be responsible for collecting and analysing data, preparing reports and assisting the Ministry in conducting house numbering in these informal settlements.
Training and Resources
Applicants should be familiar with digital data collection tools.
The Ministry will provide further on-the-job training, required tools (including tablets) and transport.
Duration: Two months commencing from February 01, 2022.
