Priyanka Dharshani is the kind of person you’d want to have in your contact list.

Not only is she the only female in an executive role Post Fiji’s Head of Procurement, she was also the first female production managers for:
– Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), a division of Motibhai Group

– British American Tobacco Fiji

Outside of professional life she is pretty much an all-rounder.

Ms Dharshani is a sports car enthusiast, loves to travel and was an athlete during her high school days.

“At Xavier College, Ba, I would participate in the Long Jump, 800m, 4×4 and 4×1 relay.

“Netball is my favourite sport and I represent Nasinu Sagam in the district netball tournaments.

“I have visited 11 countries so far,” the mother of two said of her vacation trips.

“While my Europe trip was impacted due to COVID, I have already visited France, USA, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, India, Nepal, Australia and New Zealand.”

While these places were all enjoyable to Fiji, it is Navala in Ba, nestled against the backdrop of the mountain ranges, that she recommends for anybody to visit.

How many places have you visited around Fiji?
Only when we came back from PNG (Papua New Guinea), I realised there was so much to see in Fiji itself.

We have as a family been to many countries. However, my children have not experienced Fiji in full.

There are a few places I have been to and would now like to take my children.

They include: Zip Line Fiji, dolphin watching, Navua River rafting, Navala Village, Sleeping Giant.

I have also been to Taveuni and many other day trips to smaller Islands for holidays, which is again in my bucket list for my children.

Vanua Levu I had visited when I was very young so this is one place I am yet to explore.

What is the one place in Fiji you would take visitors to, and why?
That would definitely be, Navala Village in Ba.

I know most of the time it’s to beaches, hotels but for me, I have always loved my trips to Navala Village.

It’s beauty is beyond what I can describe in words.

One has to visit this village and appreciate its upkeeping by the villagers.

The river before the village, those thatched roofs, mountains, it’s just serene!

What is your favourite place for coffee/pie, and why?
Mohinesh Prasad’s Coffee corner at home.

My husband, he makes the best coffee because he is a coffee lover himself.

From our trip to Bali we had bought Kopi Luwak (Luwak Coffee).

It’s the best coffee I have ever had, and it’s even better when my husband prepares it.

If it’s not at home then I love Bulacinno Cafe.

What is your favourite backyard spot, and why?
Coming from a farming background I love to do gardening.

However, with children we have to adjust so for now I love my peaceful drinks by the pool at home while my children enjoy swimming.
